Ride 4 was spot on, Pro 4 felt a half-size too long, but if I ordered a US 7.5 then it may have been too narrow.įor general use spanning both backpacking and running, I'd recommend the Ride 4 for the extra heel cushion for backpacking since you'll be on your feet all day. Pro costs more because it has "Pro" in the name. The fit was narrow and structured almost stiff initially. I thought the forefoot cushioning between the Pro 4 and Ride 4 were very similar same midsole, Profeel film not-a-rock-plate, and stack up front. Out of the box, I loved the colorway on this shoe but was concerned about getting the bright white outsole dirty on both the mud and dust that I encounter on a typical Colorado trail run.

I have slightly wide feet and the SR4 fit me fine but I had to make sure to loosen the laces in the Sense Pro 4 in the toes and wear thinner socks to ensure a decent fit. (a) The Sense Pro 4 is lighter, has a lower heel to toe drop (4mm vs 8mm), has a narrower fit, and has a more breathable but potentially less durable upper. 200 miles (~322 km) in the Pro 4, 100 in the Ride 4.

I would appreciate any help and I hope to get on the trail soon! For reference: My feet are both 27cm long without socks and I wear Adidas Ultraboost in EUR44 2/3 and US10 1/2 (they are slightly too small) Nike Air Force 1 in US10 and EUR44 Karhu Fusion 2.0 in EUR44.5 and US10 1/2 (also slightly too small) Reebok Club C in EUR44.5 and US11Īs you can see, my sizing is kind of all over the place so I am very unsure as to what size to go for. The Sense Ride 4 have been designed to offer greater grip and protection, this shoe is equipped with specific features for the trail, such as the anti-particle. So I wanted to ask: a) How these two shoes compare because their descriptions are very similar and while the extra 30€ for the Pro indicate 'better' I can't figure out how they are better.ī) What size I should go for? Unfortunately I can't try them out in a store, so I'm hoping to get the sizing right first try. The Sense Pro 4 happens to be on sale for the original price of the Ride 4. I was looking at the Sense Ride 4 as a good entry option, but as of right now all colors are sold out on their website. I wanted to get into trailrunning and I am planning a multi-day hike for late next month. Disclaimer: I am a total trailrunning noob.
